Start with something that actually happens

A customer pays part of an invoice. A supplier issues a credit note. A shareholder covers a business expense. These are everyday situations for a business owner. Each one still needs to find the right place in the accounts.

Farshad uses situations like these as the starting point for Boekhouden. The software should help you record an action and explain what it means for your administration. A booking preview, for example, lets you see the accounting entry before you confirm it.

Less setup before you can begin

Starting an administration should mean getting on with your business. It should not require you to build a complete chart of accounts or investigate every technical setting first. Boekhouden therefore provides a suitable initial setup when you create a new administration.

The same idea applies when linking businesses. If an intercompany current account is needed, the required setup is prepared with the new link. The administrations remain separate and the balances between them stay visible.

You can also trace VAT amounts to their source. Sales, purchases and corrections come together in the overview. This makes it easier to check an amount, investigate a difference or ask your accountant a specific question.

Stay involved while working with your accountant

Boekhouden is designed to help you follow your own administration, including when you work with an accountant. You can give an accountant or colleague access with appropriate permissions. You work from the same information instead of exchanging a separate version of a report for every question.
